Where is the paint code? For my 'Teal' driver's side mirror... 700

I have been trying in vain to locate a Teal colored driver's side mirror for my 88 760t. There are a lot of mirrors available in black, white, gray, etc. Just no Teal. I even called around to parts places in Canada! So I guess I'll try to buy a different color mirror and paint it "Teal." First I need the paint code. Where can I find it? I've heard strut tower, but I didn't see it there. What is the paint code format? And, since I'm asking, which "base" mirror would be the easiest to paint over? Black, white, gray..??
