I am truly sorry if this has come up before, but...
I am presently working on a '72 164e and a '68 P1800, and driving a 1984 245. Although I did do some work on the 245 a few years ago, all of my time is taken up by the 72 & 68, working full time, and attending college full time. At any rate, I am not certain what transmission I have in my 245. I am driving about 130 miles a day, five days a week, and want to make certain that I am maximizing mileage. The shift lever has a small button on the driver's side of the top. Does this mean that I have an OD transmission? If so, what kind of rpm's should I be turning at, say, 65mph if the OD is working?
Again, I am sorry for the kindergarden question, but I just don't have time to do proper research.
Thanks,
Kent
