Overdrive light stays on 200 1987

Lately, the overdrive light in my panel stays half aglow when I'm driving eventhough the button on the shifter is in off position. I did flushed my transmission fluid already using Amsoil synthetic fluid but this did not solve the problem except a smoother gear shifts. Any idea what to do next? Thanks!
