Steering rack update on my GT 200 1978

My 1978 GT is needing a fresher steering rack. I like the heavier steering feel on the newer 240 Volvos. Can I update the steering rack to one of the newer units to acheive this steering feel? The remote pump resivoir is nice and clean looking too. Maybe an entire system could be transferred to my car.... Anyone done this? Is everything the same with the mountings and linkage to the steering column shaft?
