aftermarket taillights 200 1989

Hi all,

I just bought a set of new 240 '89 taillights chrome from ebay... I wanted to replace the originals given they have faded a bit.

I read somewhere that the aftermarket taillights leak? How
is the quality?

Did I make a mistake in purchasing these? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.
