My '81 240 still has the crappy original front door speakers, mounted on the doors and I'm having trouble finding suitable replacements due to depth and mounting hole restrictions. As an alternative, I thought I'd mount new speakers to the door panels instead of the doors themselves but I would like to use the stock grills. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not looking for high fidelity, 30 years of playing rock n' roll guitar and working on racecars has wrecked my hearing. I just want to be able to hear the radio as I motor on down the road.

BTW, IPD no longer offers the Eclipse speakers offered in the latest catalogue.
