fitting AW70/71 to B20/30 120-130

Im thinking of putting a B20E or maybe even a B30E into my volvo 122/amazon. I'd like to have an automatic gearbox going with it, but more inportant: an overdrive. So I'm thinking off using an AW71.
I know I will have to modify driveshaft, mountings and whatevermore but will an AW71 fit straight onto a B20/B30? What are the steps to take? Do I have to use the bellhousing/torquconverter of a BW35 perhaps and bolt the AW71 onto that?
I understand that there are bellhousings specially cut/welded to lett it fit straight away, but do I realy need this? I also fitted a M47 onto my B20, and a M46 onto a B18 just by using a bellhousing from aan B23 and putting the gearbox on a slant. (see my http://knutselsmurf.web1000.com) I wouldn't try putting an automatic box on an angle but isn't there a way to fitt it on without using a custum bellhousing?
