Cam or ZF?

I think I've narrowed my problem down to inner tie rod on the drivers side.

Just a little shimmying(?) under light braking.

My question is 1) Where is that ID tag that says what type of gear I have.

In the trunk? Where?

Also, in looking at steering boot, on the inner side it clamped to the end of rack with large plastic tie; at the outer end, it attaches the same, except much smaller diamenter, just the thickness of tie rod.
Which rack is it?

It's kind of embarrassing to ask this since I just replaced the whole rack on my 1985 740 about 6 months ago. I just can't remember how I got the right one?
It's hell getting old!
