My pristine 242GT was in a (front left) fender bender today!!! 200 1980

I think her new name will be "The Silver Ghost" since the guy who hit me didn't see me coming! Straight road, clear blue sky, dry pavement.

Nobody was hurt except for the GT's front left blinker, fender, bumper and headlight trim. His Geo Tracker had some damage but not much due to the speeds and angles involved. More or less, he was rolling slowly (maybe even at a complete stop) while in the process of making a left turn, by the time he committed to the turn (not seeing me of course) both of our left front fenders were in contact with each other.
Can't wait to hear what his insurance company says, I'm bracing myself for the whole "book value" line but most of you (and I) know that the GT being the rarity that it is commands a higher price...especially with no rust.

I plan on doing an archive search for posts related to fighting insurance companies in situations like mine. Can anyone offer any advice for dealing with his insurance company if they offer me book value?

Thanks in advance for your insight.
