Speaking of rattles and thumps 900

My 97 964 has one when going over bumps in the rear area. I have got in the trunk with my wife driving, but could not determine what it was.

Had the exhaust inspected, but all was tight & right.

I've wondered if it is the trunk lift mechanism or etc. I know these kinds of questions are too vague, but any ideas or experiences please?
