Mirror removal - Need Help badly!!! 200 1991

I could use some help. I've been trying for the last three days to figure a way to dismount the mirror inside the car in order to be able to remove the cloth from the ceiling. It's either stuck or I'm not doing it right. I cannot figure the way it was mounted. Is it on some kind of rail or is it screwed in? Does it have any safety that should be removed? Please help.
