taillight interchangability 200 1985

Hi all. I visited the junkyard and it's Volvo's. Found a very nice taillight w/out any chips or broken lenses (right hand light). The junked Volvo was an '84 and it's needed to go onto my '85. My car has the lower lense brake light and the rear foglights. Can this one be interchangable as long as I swap the circuit boards? Guess I could steal another circuit board from a newer year Volvo while I'm at it (in case mine tears while taking it off). They want $25 for nicer taillights and $11 for the not so nice ones in the yard. So what is all needed for this idea? Thanks :-)
