Well, I replaced the ECT sender today, and nothing has changed fro the 2000 rpm idle. (As long as the new sender works . . .i still need to test it just to be sure.) I've replaced the ECT and throttle switch. I cleaned the throttle body and IAC valve, and checked for vaccuum leaks. I can't think of anything else that would be causing this high idle.
Two questions:
1) What is the process for setting the base idle? I remember something about shorting the connections on a blue connector behind the battery and then doing something else. Anyone know the procedure? This is one of my "last hope" plans. It will make me feel STUPID if it works, but hey, at least the car will be fixed.
2) Any other ideas on what might be wrong with the car?
Thanks
Mike
