As I posted earlier this year, last February my transmission started only shifting into OD only after a brisk acceleration and subsequent letting off the accelerator or upon reaching a high RPM (around 4,000). I have replaced the OD relay (new one)and the solenoid (used one)on the transmission. The shifting is better, not as much acceleration required to get to shift, but still not perfect. What actually causes the shift into OD? As I understand it, the solenoid fluid path is open when the OD relay is engaged (orange arrow not lit), and at some point in time the fluid passes through the passage and causes the shift. Does hydraulic pressure of the fluid increase as RPM's go up, or why would mine only upshift to OD after quickly depressing the accelerator about an inch and then letting up on it? Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?
