Yes, I know, I already posted once about the OD solenoid... but that is not the problem. As I have been driving around lately I have noticed that the tranny is having a real problem shifting up gears, specifically 3rd. Usually, the car would shift up into 3rd at like 2500-3000 rpm at around 40 mph. Now, however, the shifts come rather hard and in the 3500-4500 rpm range. This morning the engine went as high as 4200rpm at 55-60mph. I was under the assumption that this was due to an OD failure of somekind, but it doesn't seem like it. I had my mechanic take it for a drive and when he returned, he found that the fluid level was low, so he topped it off w/ about 3/4's of a quart. This still hasn't fixed the problem. When Im driving around town at about 40 mph, if I apply any pressure to the gas the engine revs up to 3000-3500 rpm, but drops back down to 1500 rpm if pressure is removed. Any ideas?
**should also add that this is an auto tranny.
