M46 shifter vertical play/support suspension 200

The shifter on my M46 can easily be moved up and down about an inch. Investigating under the car, I found two vertical supports for the linkage. Each has a large hole in it. A much smaller bolt with a brass spacer is screwed into the overdrive through the hole. Is there supposed to be a bushing in there? Anyone have a part number?
