Pod air 700

What advantages are there in a pod filter over the normal paper filter? Do they both filter the same ammount or does the freeer flowing 'pod' Allow more small particles of dust in? I sometimes drive on dirt roads and was wondering if its worth adding a pod filter or just ramm air the normal air box?
Some people say that with a pod and ram air there getting 60Hp+ (turbobricks) Is this just wishing without putting the car onto a dino?
