No power to injectors 200 1986

My sons 85 740 blew a cam seal so i just figured i would put him in one of my many other bricks. So i look around the yard and say,You could drive this 240 for a while till we fix your wagon,He says cool. I throw a battery in it and it won't start,damn. We have great spark,lots of fuel but no power to the injectors.I gave up and put him driving my Lightning Truck ! Please help me get him back in a volvo,He wants me to put my deisel and 5 speed in his 740 wagon for the mileage,sounds like work to me. His gas burner has 270k on it and i welded the balancer on it when it fell off and rounded off the stub on the crank! Help me fire these injectors on the 86-240. Sorry i rambled. GASSIT M.J.
