@!$%!!!! Oil Breather Box - 1995 945 900

Thought I would remove and inspect the oil breather box this afternoon andput a new O-ring in it. First time for me on those car. Done it before on a 744T, which was a piece of cake. not so easy on the 1995 945 it seems. Removed the air intake hose and idle air valve to improve access, but still couldn't get to it. There is a valve right in front of the breather box that is blocking access to the bolts. This valve has 2 steel tubes attached to it, one goes to the intake manifold, the other goes round the back of the engine and seems to be connected to the exhaust. I guess this is part of the EGR system but am not too sure (have had the car for 6 months and am still getting to know it). Anyway, my sunday afternoon was running out and it was looking like a more involved job than I anticipated so I abandoned the excercise for today.
If anyone out there has done this on a similar model 940 I would appreciate any tips on what-all needs to be removed in order to get the breather box out.
Thanks,
Kev
