Please recommend maintenance on new ride 200 1988

I just bought an '88 240DL with 5-speed manual. It was donated to a charity, transfered to an auction house, then bought by a private party and then finally sold to me. It has obviously been garaged and well taken care of. At 160K the paint still looks new and everything works (well, I have noticed the temp gauge a little funky so time to jumper the temp. compensating board, and the radio is dead so I'll post another question on that). The engine is very clean (it did smell of engine degreaser, but after ~100 miles I don't see any oil leaks) with some good signs like new dist. cap, heavy-duty blue plug wires, a new-looking fuel pump, and no corrosion in the wiring harnesses. The coolant is new.

The problem is that this car didn't come with any maintenance records at all, so I don't know what to do on it and when. Judging from the Midas sticker on the windshield it's due for an oil change. Should I replace the fuel filter for peace of mind? And what about everything else? Should I replace, or at least look at, the timing belt? Or should I ass-u-me that it was done when the fuel pump was replaced, and figure it has maybe 10-15K on it? And should I put in a new fuel pump relay now for good measure? I'm figuring I'll do a few things on it now, and then just wait until 180K to do all of the 60K maintenance items. Should I repack the wheel bearings? What would you do or check out in my situation?
