Sears Auto...Stay away...Lesson learned 700 1992

Hi all,

I have a story to share with all of you regarding Sears Auto. Recently, (2 months ago) I was in need of some rear shocks for my 92 745. Well money was tight and I needed something fast and inexpensive. I know... Sears. Boy, did I make a mistake. Unfortunately, it took 2 month to found out that they screwed up. Yesterday, I brought make car in for brake service. I also mentioned to the tech that when I come to a harsh stop and then accelerate, it feels like the rear end jumps forward with a clunk. Mmmmm funny I didn't have this problem before the new shocks were installed but I didn't put two and two together. Anyway, Tech said to me "This is a first and I never in my 30 years of being a Volvo, BMW, Mercedes and Saab tech did I ever see such a STUPID thing." The right rear shock was installed upside down and the other shock was installed correctly, however, the retaining bracket that they use to ship the shock was still attached. Holy, S$&t how could someone be so stupid. I told the tech to remove the shocks and install the correct ones. I will be bringing the shocks back to Sears for a full refund. Can you believe this??? I know what your thinking... shame on you for going to Sears. Well your right, never again. I have learned my lesson. So here’s my advice; STAY AWAY FROM SEARS AUTO. I'm still trying to figure out how someone could be so STUPID. It just blows my mind. Comments???? Do you think any damage was done??
