Eternal M41 swap is almost done...more questions 120-130

So close...
First question. Looking at the front of the box there are three plugs on the top where the gear dogs move back and forth. The center one is indented more than the outer two. My books are not very clear on this, and the old one had the center plug sticking out 1/8 inch, which lined up with an indent in the bell housing. (Third gear in the old M40 hit the dash) the new M41 3rd gear is very tight. Which is the correct position?

Second. Any tricks for mounting it with the motor still in the car? I removed the M40 without the bellhousing fairly easily, but have had difficulty getting the M41 to slide in the last inch. I am using the little clutch alignment tool and it "feels" like it is aligned. Any suggestions as to what I am missing/catching on? (It isn't the top crown on the tunnel) Should I remove the bell housing and mount it with the bell housing and just tilt the engine back?

Thanks, and I hope I do not have to ask anymore overdrive questions for a few years. :)

-Erik
