clunk at low speeds 200

When I'm trolling along in first gear, at very low speeds/RPMs, I'm getting a clunking sound and a slight lurch when I push the clutch in. Is this an indication of a weak clutch, or maybe something more serious with my tranny (an otherwise seemingly strong M47)?
