Inspired by Chainy's Q on manuals, I opened up a newly acquired Haynes - older than my other - to see a photo describing the location of the block's serial number, just aft of the distributor. There's a strange-to-me nipple shown in the photo, just about where I think my LH2.0/Chrysler Ignition knock sensor is screwed in.
Question is, could this hole lead to oil? Always figured it to be a blind hole, but a minor oil leak seems to be arising from around the knock sensor -- I guess better than from the head gasket above.
I'll scan it if anyone would like...
