Replacing relays on 1990 760T 700

I hate to keep asking questions about this same topic, but I really wish I could do this myself rather than taking it in to a shop.

Anyway, after removing the panel by the ash try on the passenger's side, I have located the relay that I need to replace -- it is the MFI relay, labeled "B". Just to the right is the central locking relay, labeled "C". Unlike the relay diagram on the FAQs (the 760/960 relay tray), the relays are all packed in around the B relay on three sides (right, left, and bottom) -- there is only about 2 mm of space between them, not the 1-2 cm that the diagram seems to show. I can barely see only one of the plastic locking clips to the left of the B relay, and I assume that the one on the right is lower. I found it impossible to wedge in any toothpicks to pry out the left locking clip. I figured that it might be easier to get to the B relay if I removed the C relay, but no luck either. I fiddled with toothpicks for about an hour and still found it impossible to pull the relay out. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
