OK, my Swedish is not good, so I put the Haynes on the shelf and bought a Chilton. It has MUCH clearer wiring diagrams. Unfortunately, either they are wrong, or my car is!
The Chiltons shows the Brake Light Switch as Normally Open (NO), but mine is not. It is Normally Closed (NC). I even took it apart to see if the switch was hosed, and it was surprizingly clean. (perhaps replaced not too long ago) Doesn't matter though. This switch is Deffinately NC.
The Chiltons reports the Green/Red wire going to the brake light switch is always energized. It's not. In fact, if I apply voltage to the GrnRed, THEN the brake lights go on!
Could someone please check and see if their brake light switch is the same? If you you continuity when the pedal is at rest (not depressed) then it is NC.
It would make PERFECT sence to me if the switch was NO, and I may just buy a generic and wire it that way, but I am really wondering if this is correct or not. I read an earlier post about someone's mechanic wiring the brake lights in reverse (off when depressed), and now I can see why/how.

(cause there ain't no way I'm gonna teach my 15 yr old daughter to drive my '77 Ranchero (too unsafe for me!) or my 64 1/2 Mustang(not EVEN an option))
