auto trans leak/drip??? 200 1986

was wondering if anyone knows of any common leaks on 86 240 auto.
seems to only drip while running and not all the time.
can tell when it is cus smoke comes up through hood and sometimes inside.
oh yeah probably silly question but whats difference tween GL DL?
relatively new to volvos but I think Im fallin in love
