change cam oil seal now no start! help please 700 1989

I just changed my front cam oil seal. i made sure to keep the cam in the same position. i washed the engine down real good. covered the distributor and had the amm out of the car. well, after all that, it won't start. i checked my electrical connections and they're good. i'm at a loss here. !!!!
