The center bearing carrier mounts is bolted in two places to the plate bolted to the bottom of the car. The two holes in the plate are slots so there is some front to back adjustment available.

Putting the front section of my driveshaft (with carrier bearing) back on the car I noticed that if I mounted the bearing carrier where it was before, at the front of the slots, the shaft is pushing against the rubber bearing carrier. If I just bolt it where it lays naturally, it's near the center of the slots.

Should I bolt the carrier to it's plate so it is working against it's rubber boots or just bolt it in place where it sits with the front and rear ends of the driveshaft connected. Oh, yea, the car was off the ground so the rear suspension was at full extension.
