Stuck fuel filter 200 1984

Anyone ever had trouble getting these things off? I can't budge it, and I've already basically destroyed the cast-on nut on the filter. Normally in a case like this I'd just hold a torch to whatever's around the bolt and twist it right off, but I just don't see myself doing that this time around.
