Brake Lights 200

My brain is not working too well this morning and I need some help. I have a 90 model 240 with brake light problems. With the headlights off the brake lights work fine. When I turn the headlights (or parking) on the brake lights go off. In other words while holding the pedal the brake lights are on. If I switch the lights on while still holding the pedal, they go off (the Ralph Nader light works OK). I know that It's simple and something that I've seen before, I just can't remember.
