New Owner - old car 200 1984

Greetings...
First of all thanks to the owners/moderators/administrators of the Brickboard.
Secondly thanks to the experts and others for the quality of the sight.

I bought my Volvo for $800 as a driver until I rebuild my Dodge Raider...
I got a great deal on a straight rust free car...
every thing except the Trunk Release, Power Antena, and AC work (now)
Oh yeah the Odometer is flakey

It got a new Mass Air Meter,Filter,Airbox Thermostat bringing my investment
up to $1300...the shop threw in 4 single pin door switches so the
Dome light works, (the PO had put the newer style 2 pin switches)

Misc fixes:
Put anti-corrosion grease on all the fuses
Cleaned TB ... Idle is still high, will fix this week, I probably set the
throttle screw wrong (thanks for the instructions)
Dome light
See above
Bonnet light (Ugh...had to remove clean and reinstall the (Mercury Tilt Sensor)
As a side note I had an AMC Eagle and when parked on a steep grade the light
would come on and drain the battery...not funny whe parked up in the hills
camping!
Found a vacuum leak...
the line was cracked at the ECU where the sensor for the Ignition is.
This fixed the nagging hesitation at transition from light to medium
throttle nicely.

ToDo:
Front control arm bushings...
looks fairly easy in the book,
parts are in the trunk - time is the issue
Replace the Antenna Mast
Or maybe I will remove and replace with a manual, the sound of the
motor running up distracts me from the other, more important, sounds.
Chase the Gremlin in the Trunk Release...
this is an intermittant and therefore the worst kind of problem
AC...
Gee I dunno, It is pretty heavy and needs a new drier anyway.
I have lived without AC before and may decide to do so again. If I
can figure out the belts.
ODO
buy the gear and replace it... again thanks for the info.
Relocate the flame trap...just because I can

Thanks again
Miguel
