Removing rear side window in '83 245 wagon 200

I have one spot of body rot right at the base of the right side window in the quarter-panel. My neighbor is a body and paint guy and can fix it if we get the window out. What's the best way to remove the rear side window? Is this doable by an ordinary person or best handled by a auto-glass shop?
