Steering column clickety-clack... 900 1991

Whenever I go over a bump, especially on dirt washboard farm roads ;-), I get a clickety-clack sound coming from behind the steering wheel, about where the turn signal switches attach to the column. It pretty much only happens when the wheel is centered [+/- 15 degrees], and there are no bolts I can see to tighten. I don't have any binding or other symptoms described in the steering section of the FAQ.

Do I need a new column?
