I have a problem with my B280F in my 780. The car saarts and runs fine except for an idle problem. When the car is frist started (10-30secs) it idles normally, then it goes up to 2000rpms. When shifted into drive, and the brake is held, it stays at 1000rpms but wants to go up. When the brake is released it stays at 2000rpm. This is too fast for around town driving and hard on the brakes. I have changed the auxillary air valve to no avail. I understand that this engine uses the same manegment system as the 4 cyl. Is there an easy fix or is it time to find a healthy V8 and start a swap(my ultimate goal for this car). I need the car to be functional for the winter as a few of my other toys are going into hybernation soon(I am in Quebec, snow, salt and old swedes(volvo`s not humans) don`t co-exist in harmony). Any and all help is greatly appreciated knowing most volvo enthusiasts marked hatered for the PRV V6.
