Don Foster is... 200

...the master of arcane knowledge.

I left my car at work last night, in disgust and frustraton, and brought my insturment cluster in with me this morning. Pluged it in over lunch, and jumped the car at the end of the day. It started right up. Turned on all the accessories I could think of, and waited for the engine to kill again. But lo! It kept on running. Went back inside to return the work truck key and came back outside to a running car. Then I drove it all the way home. It works just fine.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon that Christmas post of yours and didn't pull the alternator and try to figure out what was up. Once again you are the master. And this is not the first time you have helped me with some obscure electrical issue. Next time I'm near Cape Cod, you'll get somthing real nice.

Thank you again!!! And thanks too to you others who responded and helped in my time of trouble.
