trying to remove an M45 from a 78 242....... stuck...... 200

OK - so I have everything unbolted underneath - all the bolts, cables, etc. are out. The transmission won't slide back easily....

What am I forgetting???

I was able to pry the transmission back about 3/8" - but not enough to clear the alignment pin on the right side......

There seems to be little or no room at the top of the transmission tunnel for the shifter brace - the engine does not seem to be tilted back enough to allow a smooth slide out - even though the rear of the cam cover is against the fire wall.....


Any ideas???
