I own a 1989 740Ti with about 150000. During a trip the Chiefs game in KC I blew a heater hose and repaired it. (the one under the fuel injection rail)
My problem is that when I got back on the highway, I didn't have accelerating power. I have Turbo boost but my exhaust and milage suggests that a very rich mixture occurs. At first I figured something got wet and will dry up after awhile or I fouled up a plug. These things are not the problem. I can still go 80 or so if I'm on the flat but going up hills reminds me a of my Subaru with 200,000. Just no climbing power. Once the turbo needle goes into the red I begin to lose power. So far my mechanic is stumped and KC vs. Bills comes up next week. Any ideas?
