volt guage fix? 200

hello there. my add on volt guage is not working. it worked for six months then it started to read all the way on the plus side.and it would get stuck there. if i tap on it it would drop just below the red. switched the one from my other cars and the both function properly . has anyone ever tried to repair one of the small round volt guages.i can not get the thing apart.was fixin to throw it out and ??????? maybe the brickboard can help. thanks 85 244 163.000 86 244 108.000 87 245 broken odo.
