mirror glass, where to get replacement 900

I've got a 91 940GLE, and the glass on the passenger side mirror broke. Went to the dealer, and they say the only glass available now is the heated mirror glass, and it was about $40. Tried that replacement kit you buy at the automotive stores, its like a reflective piece of metal, but it really doesn't work well. Any suggestions on replacing the mirror?
