Hey board,
This is the car my son drives. He reports that for a while, intermittently, he would turn off the switch and the car wouldnt shut off. Now it wont shut off at all. In fact he was able to kill it, but the ignition stayed on all night, and drained the battery. Additionally, the steering wheel no longer locks. switch still has the start fuction.

Im wondering what type of a problem this is? What will I have to changed to solve this problem. steering wheel doesnt need to lock. Noone wants this beast, but me. It only needs to start and stop.

Im thinking that if its the entire ignition switch, with all the drilling out and etc, then ill probably just install a generic switch. But , if its the little electric module, thingy, then Id look for one in the boneyard and change it out.

How do I know which one it is.
