car used to stumble, now doesn't start 200

For a while my 1987 240 DL would occasionally stumble or miss (not sure) while i was driving, usually this would only happen when I tried to accelerate hard. Then all of a sudden one day, in idle the engine was vibrating hard and I parked the car, when I went to turn the car back on it would not start. I checked all my plugs they look ok, i replaced the distributor cap and rotor. Still no start, what should i do??
