Start Me Up... 200 1981

I looked at partsamerica.com (aka Kragen) and am totally confused. It lists one type of starter for 1975-1984 240 DLs, a second type for 1985-1987 DLs, and a third thereafter. I don't understand why the starter would truly be different for the B21F/B23F and B230F. Are they different?
