85 760t won't engage park position 700

Sometimes it goes into park just fine, other times the shift lever goes into position, but the car will still roll. It's starting to take many attempts to get it to engage. I looked thru the FAQ. I'm assiming a linkage adjustment of some sort. Any one ever had this problem???
