Turbo Wastegate Actuator Rod Cotter Pin Failure 900

I just finished replacing my exhaust manifold gaskets in one of my 940s and found that the small cotter pin clip which holds the actuator rod to the waste gate shaft can rust and fail, breaking off at the edges of the holes and leaving a corroded section inside the shaft. This latter piece is a bear to remove: it took a right-handed Dremel drill to get it out. Access is tough up in there.

Tip: Occasionally remove the small cotter pin clip holding the wastegate actuator rod to the wastegate valve shaft and lube it with high-temp nickel-based antiseize. If the clip is rusted, replace it.
