If, like me, you get the stupid urge to remove a good 140 series dash pad from a parts car to replace your cracked one, take a nap and hope the urge will pass. I did the removal part today and will categorically state that it can't be done without ruining the pad. There are hidden fastners that can't be gotten at without removing the whole dash first. Even after you remove the whole dashboard and manage to undo the fasteners, you will have to pry the foamy part of the pad from the metal dash, ripping the pad in the process. So if yours is bad and you find a good one somewhere, be prepared to swap whole dashboards. This has been a public service announcement brought to you by:
