1-4-4 ignition fault code 900

My '92 940 died while moving at about 30mph yesterday. It was as if someone had just yanked the ignition wires off. I drifted to the shoulder and tried to restart. It wouldn't restart but after waiting a couple of minutes it restarted with the check engine light on. The car ran perfectly and everything worked as usual after that. When I got home I performed the OBDI procedure and came up with 1-4-4 (ICM load signal missing or faulty). I cleared the code and the check engine light went out.
Should I assume that the ICM is going to die soon or could there be another reason? This has me worried as I have no towing insurance.
