Why's My 965 Getting Awful Mileage? 900 1996

My newly purchased 1996 965 is an absolute delight. But the mileage stinks. I had been expecting perhaps 17-19 city and 22-26 highway. First tank of gas returned 15. I had only gone 120 miles, which included about 60 miles of highway. Any thoughts on this? It runs spectacularly, and given its service history I'm sure it's not in need of tune. I have not, to be fair, checked much of anything yet. I'm just a bit disappointed and perplexed, especially given what I've heard from other 960 owners.
