This was from a post in the archives regarding 02 sensor tests.
"The other easy way used is to check voltage at the O2 sensor single wire lead while plugged in (move rubber boot away), engine at operating temp and running using a volt guage. It should fluctuate between 0-1.0 volts quickly at idle if it's working, not stuck at 0.6 volts for example."
On my car (89 240 dl wagon) I did this test and the car reads a rock steady .58 volts. Does this mean the sensor is dead?? Why no "fault in 02 sensor signal" code at the OBD box. Thanks for any help, Steven
