Fuel odour when stopped and idling 900 1991

Hello,

I have a 1991 940 GLE with approx. 250,000 K. The car has been great but lately
I have been experiencing a gas odour whenever I have stopped at a light or I
am not moving. I experienced thr exact same problem when I purchased the car
a year ago. From what I remember, my mechanic changed the flame trap and the
odour disappeared. Is it possible that the flame trap needs to be replaced
again? I can purchase a flame trap kit for only $2.25 USD.

Advice greatly appreciated.
